Memorial services for Ronnie Neely, 73, of Alvarado, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Shiloh Cowboy Church, 700 W. Hwy 67, Venus, TX 76084.
Mr. Neely went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 28, 1942 in Mannington, West Virginia to Pansey E. (Lindsey) and James B. Neely. Ronnie married Joyce Wartes on Oct. 31, 1970 in Fort Worth, Texas. Ronnie worked for Murdock/Lockheed for 25 plus years as an aircraft assembler. He loved his family, boxing, westerns, and the Dallas Cowboys. Ronnie was an identical twin and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life, Joyce Neely on Feb. 23, 2015; granddaughter, Christina Nicole Smith on Jan. 15, 1984; two brothers; and two sisters.
He is survived by his son, Ron Neely, Jr. and wife, Bobbie Neely of Arlington; daughters, Tammie Hitchcock and husband, Ken Hakul of Denton, Rhonda Neely and husband, Gary Harms of Gardener, Kansas, Willie Jo Treadwell of Alvarado, Sheila Marques and husband, Kevin of Nashua, New Hampshire, Pam Butler of Alvarado; brother, Donnie Neely and wife, Sandy of Jeffersonville, Vermont; sisters, Sheila Carpenter of Kentucky, Kim Hamrick of West Virginia, Charlene Woods of Massachusetts; sister-in-law, Naomi Neely of Euless; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family wants to thank Hospice Plus of Arlington, Texas and Huguley Nursing and Rehab for their loving kindness to their father.
