Manuel Saldana Rodriguez, 72, of Cleburne, Texas passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Sergio Rizo will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne.
A visitation for family and friends will be held in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016.
Serving as pallbearers will be Louis, Danny, Jesse and William Rodriguez, Jorge Cardoso and Cesar Cardoso. Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Rodriguez, Martin “Taco” Rodriguez, John Moses and Manuel Navejar.
Manuel was born in San Diego, Texas on April 4, 1944, the son of Nieves (Saldana) and Martin Rodriguez.
He was retired from Rubbermaid and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Rodriguez; brother, Martin Rodriguez Jr., sister, Celina Martinez; and his parents.
Manuel is survived by his sons, Manuel Rodriguez Jr. and Omar Rodriguez, both of Cleburne; daughter, Sonia Cardoso and husband, Efrain, of Cleburne; grandson Cruz Cardoso; granddaughters, Ciera Rodriguez, Midori Hrinda, Luna Cardoso, Alex Rodriguez, Gabby Rodriguez, and Shanna Colwell; brothers, Robert Rodriguez of Watsonville, CA, Jesse Rodriguez and wife, Bertha, of San Antonio, TX, Hector Rodriguez and wife, Velia, of San Antonio, Domingo Rodriguez and wife, Tillie, of Beeville, TX; sisters, Adelina Navejar of Cleburne, and Santos Zavala and husband, Gilbert, of Cleburne.
