Funeral service for Dorothy Faye Lofton, 91, of Cleburne, TX, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017 at Rosser Funeral Home. A visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m. A private viewing will be available for immediate family after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Entombment will follow at Greenacres Memorial Park.
Dorothy was born on July 20, 1925. She went home to God on May 15, 2017, at the age of 91 at a local hospice facility. She was born in Callahan County, south of Clyde, Texas. She married John G. Lofton from Lyford, TX, and had 4 sons during their 13 year marriage. She never remarried and lived for her boys, then her grandchildren and their children.
She retired from Walls MFG. CO. after several years as seamstress and inspector. She belonged to First Baptist Church of Joshua.
Dorothy is survived by her sons and their wives, Larry and Maria Lofton of Joshua, TX, Robert (Bob) and Sherry Lofton of Jacksonville, TX, Vernon and JoAnn Lofton of Joshua, Morris (Danny) and Debbie Lofton of Cleburne; sister, Ida Harless and her children, Penny, Kim and Sandy; along with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
