Memorial service for Shirley Anita (Brane) Thomas, 80, of Tillamook, Oregon, will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 with Sr. Pastor James Winegardner officiating.
Mrs. Thomas passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 12, 1936, to Bessie Lucille (Landis) and Fred Brane.
Shirley married Griffith Lloyd Thomas III on August 26, 1956 in Walla Walla, Washington. She was a member of the Tillamook Seventh-day Adventist Church and was an RN.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael Meelhuysen; sisters, Wanda Ragan and Marilyn Brane; two step-brothers and two step-sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Griffith L. Thomas of Tillamook, Oregon; sons, Lloyd Griffith Thomas and wife, Bonnie, of Coyote Flats, Texas, Joseph Thomas and wife, Lisa, of Lake Jackson, Texas and Hugh William Thomas and wife, Joanne, of Moses Lake, Washington; daughters, Marcene Thomas of Keizer, Oregon, Delbe Meelhuysen and husband, Ed, of Burleson, Texas and Jill Walcker and husband, Lyn, of Spokane, Washington; grandchildren, Maggie, Brandon, Matthew, Mark, Daniel, Rachel, Alex, Andrew, Nick, Ivan Winter, Grace, Ryan, Tyler, Luciano, Giovanni and Adrianna; step-sisters, Ann Johnson and Jean Welch; and a host of other relatives and friends.
