Services for Arthur Alexander Duke, Jr., 85, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 at North Cleburne Baptist Church. The Rev. Keith Whitt will officiate. Burial will be that afternoon at 2:15 p.m. in the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Arthur went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. He was born May 30, 1932 in Bellaire, Ohio to Inez (Fehndrich) and Arthur Duke, Sr. Arthur served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He owned Duke’s Custom Signs in Ohio for 35 years. He was a member of IBEW 504 for ten years. Arthur married Sherry Fox on Dec. 29, 2000 in Arlington, Texas and he was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William Duke, Laverne Duke and Donald Duke; and sister, Darlene Yoder.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Duke of Cleburne; sons, Arthur Duke, III and wife, Cyndi, Dennis Duke, John Fowler and wife, April; daughters, Diana Duke, Katrina Daniels and husband, Keith; grandchildren, Case, Nick, Rhea, Kimberly, Kiara, and Kaitlyn; brothers, Ted Duke and wife, Dee, Joseph Duke; sisters, Marlene DuBois, Jorgene Hayden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
