Funeral services for Jackson Burton Morton, 86, of Alvarado, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A. J. Hillin officiating.
Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in De Leon Cemetery in De Leon, Texas.
A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Hickman, Wando Scarberry, Chip Smith, Keith Woodlee, Robby Morris and Ricky Lewis.
Mr. Morton passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in De Leon, Texas on March 24, 1931, the son of Bertha and Lester Burton Morton.
Mr. Morton owned Cactus Jack’s Boot Country in Alvarado. He was a member of Cahill Methodist Church.
Mr. Morton was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Joy Morton.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff Morton and wife, Jana, of Gordon, Texas and Joel Morton and wife, Kelly, of Burleson, Texas; grandchildren, April Rossier, Ty Morton, Trent Morton, Bailey Morton and Parker Morton; step grandchildren, Seth Wilmoth, Molly Austin and Anna Wilmoth; 10 great grandchildren and two on the way.
