Funeral services for Robert B. Bearden, 90, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor McKinley Knox, Pastor Donald Earl and Bishop Pearlye Brown. Burial will follow in Greenacres Cemetery.
There is no formal visitation but Mr. Bearden will lie in state from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Rosser.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tracy Guy, Joe Chambers, Ricky Harris, Eric Anderson, Aubrey Simpson and Kelsi Simpson.
Robert Bearden passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Cleburne. He was born in Rogers, Texas on December 6, 1927, the son of Hattie (Tappin) and Robert Bearden.
Robert was a car-man with the railroad and was a member of the Resurrection Lighthouse Church. He loved to play bingo and chatting with the guys at Whataburger.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and 12 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Bearden; son, Eddie Simpson; daughters, Roslyn Greely and husband, Willie, Anita Wilson and husband, Kelley, Lalana Bearden and Myra Kevely and husband, John; 22 grandchildren; over 40 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
