Obituary for Mary Sue Wilson (McCain)

Graveside service for Mary Sue Wilson will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
“Sue” Wilson, 90, of Burleson, Texas and formerly of Cleburne joined her family in Heaven on January 8, 2018. She was born September 20, 1927 in Silverton, Texas into a farming family, the fifth of nine children. Sue met Elbert “Sarge” Wilson at the South Plains Army Airfield near Lubbock, Texas. They married in June of 1946. Their daughter Virginia was born in October of 1947, followed by sons, Donald and Barry.
They traveled extensively while living in Europe and continued their travels after returning stateside. One of Sue’s favorite memories was her visit to the Holy Lands. She loved music and her favorite artist was Buddy Holly. Her faith in Christ was very important to her and she lived it daily.
Arriving on an earlier train to Heaven and awaiting her at the card table (where she will most certainly be accused of cheating) are her husband, daughter, Virginia and grandson Jeff.
She is survived by sons, Donald and wife, Jajuan, of Burleson; Barry and wife, Jacquetta, of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Diana and husband, Ryan of California; Braxton and Ragan; and great granddaughter, Avery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Promises Ministry of First Baptist Church of Burleson, 317 W. Ellison, Burleson, TX 76028.
