Obituary for Lamar Parnell

.Graveside services for Lamar Parnell, 93, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Glen Rose with the Rev. Dennis Moore officiating.
There is no visitation scheduled.
Mr. Parnell passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 in Keene, Texas. He was born in Fort White, Florida on March 16, 1925, the son of Eva Louise (Womble) and William Morris Parnell.
Lamar married Dorothy Mary Titus on March 8, 1944 in Boston, Massachusetts. She preceded him in death on March 15, 2004.
Lamar served his country in the United States Army during World War II and took part in the D-Day landing in Normandy.
He was with Texaco Oil for 33 years.
In addition to his wife, Lamar was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ovida Combs, Naomi Bohannon and Horace Parnell; half-brother, Russell Parnell and half-sister, Ruth Parnell.
He is survived by his sons, Ron Parnell and wife, Ellen and Jesse Parnell and wife, Glenna; grandchildren, Wes Parnell and wife, Amber and Emily (Parnell) Alvarez and husband, Esteban; great-grandchildren, Felipe, Xavier, Nicolas, Hayes and Holt.
