Services for Bobbye Jean Whitlock, 88, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2018 at Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Caddo Cemetery. The Rev. Armo Bentley will officiate. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday,
May 20, 2018 at Rosser Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Grant Lane, Justin Cox, Jeremy Cox, Brian Cox, Kenn Lathers, and Derek Thompson.
Bobbye went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 18, 2018 in Cleburne, Texas. She was born Feb. 23, 1930 to Ethel (Woodard) and Hillary Wise in Somervell County. Bobbye married Bobbie Whitlock on Sept. 10, 1949 in Weatherford, Texas. She worked as a teacher’s aide for many years at Liberty Chapel School. Bobbye was God’s special gift to her family. She was a very loving and caring person. Her family meant everything to her. Being an only child, Bobbye treasured her big family.
Bobbye was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Bobbie Whitlock of Cleburne; son, Tim Whitlock and wife, Elizabeth, of Cleburne; daughters, Susan Anderson and husband, Doug, of Cleburne, Pam Cox and husband, Tim, of Crowley. She was known as MeMaw to these grandchildren who she loved so much; Grant Lane and wife, Rachel, Jennifer Lathers and husband, Kenn, Brian Cox and wife, Ashley, Justin Cox, Jeremy Cox and wife, Kristy, Melissa Thompson and husband, Derek, and Mary Whitlock; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
