Funeral services for Jimmy Dean Kelsey, 60, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Randal Brewer officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Jimmy Kelsey was a man who loved happy endings. On June 11, 2018, he received the happiest ending of all when he joined his Savior in heaven.
Jimmy was born June 6, 1958 in Henderson, Texas to Billie Jean (Smith) and Hadley Dean Kelsey. Jimmy grew up in East Texas and after the death of his father, was raised there by his mother and many wonderful aunts and uncles until his mother was remarried to Clyde Harper.
Jimmy met the love of his life, Danita Brewer, at Terrell High School. They married on September 20, 1980 and moved to Cleburne in 1985 where they raised their four children on Sheridan Lane and were members of First Baptist Church.
Jimmy will be remembered for many things by many people. His baseball ability, his joyful smile, and a few really good pranks, but mostly he will be remembered for living out John 15. Jimmy lived his life abiding in his Savior and took every chance he was given to love people with the love of Christ. He bore much fruit.
His legacy of faith will continue through his family.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Danita Kelsey; parents, Billie Jean and Clyde Harper; children, Jessica (Todd Richardson), Leighton (Martin Martinez), Jacob (Shannon Kelsey) and Abby (Jose Hernandez); brother, Madison (Christa Harper); 10 grandchildren, Grace, Hannah, Ruth, Jayden, Giavanna, Milo, Eva, Warren, Kai and Hadley; nephews, Connor and Hayden; and many other family members and friends.
