Obituary for Alfred Eugene Green

Graveside services for Alfred Eugene Green, 92, of Covington, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Itasca Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Coleman officiating.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2018 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Greene, Chuck Smith, Kyle Greene, Doyle Lawrence, Chance Green and Bruce Gran.
Mr. Green passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at his home. He was born in Grapevine, Texas on August 31, 1925, the son of Calladonia (Bryant) and John Walter Green.
Mr. Green served his country during World War II and was awarded a Bronze Battle Star serving in the Rhineland Campaign.
He was retired from commercial transportation.
Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edith Kathrine Green; and son, Alfred Eugene Green, Jr.
He is survived by his sons, Dexter Eugene Green of Rochester, New York, Larry Philip Green of Mansfield, Texas, William Albert Green of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Rex Odell Green of Florida, John Walter Green, and Alvin Newton Green of Weatherford, Texas; and daughter, Amelia Scott of Alvarado, Texas.
