Obituary for Anna Mae Haak (Morris)

Mrs. Anna Mae Haak of Burleson passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Cleburne with Dr. Danny Crosby officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Waco Memorial Cemetery in Waco, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Rosser Funeral Home.
She was born in Navarro County, Texas on March 19, 1938 to Bill and Minnie Mae (Nutt) Morris. She moved to Waco and after graduating from University High School, she married Billy Joe Haak in 1961. She worked as a bookkeeper for various companies until retiring from Texas Farm Bureau Insurance in Waco in 1999. Mrs. Haak was a devout Christian and active Baptist. She had a heart for service and was involved in many activities such as mission outreach, teaching Sunday school and sponsoring youth group activities. Her and her husband also served as foster parents. Mrs. Haak loved cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She had an outgoing personality and had many close friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Haak was preceded in death by her husband and parents; sisters, Ruby Morris and Barbara Connally and brother, Wendell Morris.
She is survived by her son, Barry Joe Haak of Alvarado, Texas; daughter, Deanna Jones and husband, Darron of Crowley, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon and Bailey Haak, Blaine and Neil Jones; brother Bill Morris of McKinney, Texas; sisters Zelma Daniels and husband, Tom, of Purdon, Texas and Janice Hargrove and husband Glenn of Kennedale, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lottie Moon Fund at First Baptist Church, 414 N. Main Street, Cleburne, TX 76033.
