Obituary for James L. Lambert

Funeral services for James L. Lambert, 88, of Alvarado will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 31, 2019 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Ewell Humphreys and Bro. Kelly Cregger will officiate. Burial will follow in Buel Cemetery in Johnson County. Pallbearers will be John Hill, Justin Hill, Daryl Johnson, Jason A. Lambert, Jason E. Lambert and Zachary Hill. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 7-9:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 30, at Rosser Funeral Home.
James L. Lambert passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 in Fort Worth. He was born December 20, 1930 in Gonzales, TX to Eva Gladys (Johnson) and John D. Lambert. On May 27, 1955, he married his sweetheart, Margaret Alice Cain in Dallas, TX and she preceded him in death on February 25, 2001, after more than 45 years of marriage.
Mr. Lambert served his country proudly in the United States Army. James worked for LTV Aerospace until retirement. He was a member of Buel Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Elbert Lambert and Glenn Lambert.
Survivors include his son, Edward Lambert and wife Debra of Granbury; two daughters, Gladys Lambert of Alvarado and Leveda Neadle and husband Arthur of Watauga; grandchildren, John Hill, Justin Hill, Susan Johnson, Jason Lambert and James Michael Lambert; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, J. D. Lambert and wife Ellen of Katy and Anthony Lambert of Channelview; sister, Dorothy Novark Pearson of Tomball; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Lambert of Thornton; and a host of other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to: Buel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1925, Cleburne, Texas 76033 for the cemetery fund.
