Obituary for Michael Pinterich

Print
We regretfully announce the passing of Michael Carl Pinterich, 61, of Cleburne, Texas. Michael passed away on November 19, 2021, after a long struggle with diabetes.
Michael was born to Carl and Shirley Pinterich on December 22, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio. An independent and vibrant personality from the beginning, Michael was an excellent athlete. Michael graduated from Chisholm Trail Academy in 1979 and immediately went on to get his paramedic certificate, which started his Emergency Medical Services career where it began with the Keene Volunteer Fire Department in 1978.
Michael and his high school sweetheart Aurora Hawkins were married in June 1980. Michael enjoyed the outdoors: camping, scuba diving, skiing (water and snow), and motorcycles! He loved animals, particularly his dogs, Chewy, Chance, Josephine and Oswald, but he especially loved people, for Michael never met a stranger!
Michael spent many years as an EMT at Huguley Memorial Hospital where his network of friends grew. He decided to go to Tarrant Community College and graduated in 1986 to be a Texas police officer. He served in Keene, Alvarado and Johnson County, where he later became a medical examiner until 1995.
While being a police officer for the city of Alvarado, TX, he met Julie Twilligear. They were soon married in 1990.
He went on to further his education with an A.S. Degree from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. He started his funeral director’s career on June 1998, beginning with Laurel Land in Dallas and Crowley, Greenwood in Arlington and Fort Worth, and retired from Alexander’s Midway, Springtown.
Michael is predeceased by his parents and survived by his brother, Glenn, and wife, Elizabeth (Creighton) Pinterich, and nephew, Alex Pinterich, all of Price Utah; Aunt Patricia Warnock of Rural Hall, North Carolina; and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held for Michael on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel. If you’d like to honor his legacy, donations may be made to www.animalhope.org in Michael Pinterich’s name.
