A memorial service celebrating the life of Dixie Anna Robinson-Lowry, 88 of Whitney, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2021 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Darnall officiating.
Dixie passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 in Hillsboro, Texas. She was born in Marshfield Oregon, now known as Coos Bay, on December 5, 1933, to Orlena Grace (Class) and Earnest Benjamin Robinson.
Dixie was a LVN and also a social worker, having received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Southwestern Adventist College in Keene, Texas, in the medical field before her retirement. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Cowboy Church in Joshua, Texas. Dixie loved to travel and also loved her family!
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oliver I. Lowry, M.D.; and son, Daniel Harley Wamack.
Dixie is survived by her son, Douglas Wayne Wamack and wife, Willyta, of Berrien Springs, Michigan; twin daughters, Dixie “Teresa” Pinkston and husband, Virgil and Brenda Lee Honeycutt and husband, Grover, all of Whitney; grandchildren, Mindy Bing and Anthony, Wendi Chadwick, Tanya Wamack-Simpson, Heather Wamack-Lackey and Jason, Kimberly Wamack-Allen, Hanah Beck, Wayne Beck, J.R. Honeycutt, Donna Blackwood and Moreal, and Elizabeth Clark and Allan; great grandchildren, Malachi Chaulklin and Gabby, Stefani Hall, Willow Allen, Ashton Allen, Ashlan Lawrence and Geoffrey, Tyler Pinkston and Kelsie, Kateejo Burger, Daniel Clark, and Nathan Clark; and great-great grandchildren, Hazel Hall, Jase Chaulklin, Briella Chaulklin, Brooklyn Chaulklin, Aaron Pinkston, Payslee Pinkston, and Greyson Pinkston.
