Graveside services for Roy Wilson Syrus, 92, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 at Baker Lain Cemetery in the Goatneck Community. Brother Mike Ackard will officiate.
There is no visitation scheduled.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Syrus, Joey Syrus, Jarred Clements, Galen Stevens, Jackie Syrus, and Jacob Syrus.
Roy passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at his home. He was born in Shamrock, Texas on November 23, 1929, the son of Lena (Stansell) and Haskell Syrus.
Roy married Barbara Howland on October 4, 1952. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Danny Clements.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Syrus; children, Danny Syrus, Jimmy Syrus and wife, Theresa, and Charlotte Clements; brother, Charles Syrus; sister, Dolores Ackard; grandchildren, Jackie Syrus, Jillian Anchondo, Jeremy Syrus, Joey Syrus, Tina Flavin, and Jarred Clements; great grandchildren, Jordan, Zoey, Jacob, Josh, Conner, Carsyn, Haleigh, Tryston, Greyson, Sariah, Logan, Emma, and Will; great-great grandchild, Jase; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation scheduled.
