Obituary for Gladys Myrtis Schmidt (Evans)
Funeral services for Gladys Myrtis Schmidt, 100, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Watts Chapel United Methodist Church near Grandview, Texas. The Rev. Daniel So will officiate. Burial will follow in Watts Chapel Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mrs. Schmidt’s grandsons.
Mrs. Schmidt passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at her home. She was born in Valley Mills, Texas on August 28, 1918, the daughter of Hattie Lee (Mayberry) and Robert Jackson Evans.
Gladys and William F. “Bill” Schmidt were married on July 9, 1938 in Clifton, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Schmidt; two brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Schmidt is survived by her sons, Rodney Schmidt and wife, Ellie, and Larry Schmidt; grandchildren, Jack, Bret, Heather, Kate, Brant, Brandi, Rusty and Angie; great grandchildren, Morgan, William Susie, Stephen, Gregory, Adeline, Gemma, Alexandra, Emily, Michael, Christopher, Andrew, Sam, Sydney, Hattie, Grady, Madilynn, Clair, Annabelle, Bleu, Haus and Rein; and great-great grandchildren, Lily, Charlie, Henry, Wyatt, Kana, Guinevere and Elle.
