LaDonna posted a photo of her and her 4-H calf. Now, for the rest of the story. The cow was in distress trying to deliver the calf. The calf was stuck, a common problem. The solution, reach inside the cow and wrap padded chains around the calf hooves then pull the calf out. Who had the smallest hands that night???? Yep, LaDonna. Those of us who have had this experience are among an elite fraternaty to understand the refreshing relief of the nearest faucet afterward:-)

Oh you spicy little girl from Aguila...so sorry that you are gone. I know you are in peace and with Kenny with so many others we have lost, but for your family, I am sure they are reeling from the Earthly loss. You were so proud of them all and we are proud as well and glad they remain as a reminder to your love and tenacity. I will hug your mom. You are both such individuals and special, no one is perfect, but there is a lot to be said for people who stand out and stand up, live life out loud and wear their failures as valiantly as their successes. I am thinking a lot about you this week and forever more. I assigned music to Kenny's loss; for you, I think maybe it will be a good joke. I could always share a good redneck rendition with you, something about small town living, the rest of them don't always get us...great growing up with you, u will be missed...hugs to your family, Wickenburg has open arms for you always.

I am so sad you're gone, but anyone who knew you is forever touched by your laughter. I love you so much. You were so much fun. I always wanted to be just like you and Cindy growing up. The last time we messaged each other was about a week ago. You spoke of how much pain you were in. I am sad for myself and everyone that loves you, but I'm glad you are free from suffering. I pray for peace and solace for your family knowing that you are finally released from the pain.

LaDonna was so proud of her grandchildren. In fact, it is hard to find a picture of LaDonna on her Facebook page. Most of the pictures are of her grandchildren. She often spoke of them, but this is specifically for Brazos, though I know she felt the same way about all of you. It is part of a conversation I'd like to share so that Brazos may look back one day and see the words she wrote, and know how much she loved him.
