Obituary for Carol Frances Beyer (Vereen)

Carol Frances  Beyer (Vereen)
A memorial service for Carol Frances Vereen Beyer, 76, of Fort Worth, Texas will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 in the Robert Carr Chapel (TCU), 2855 S. University Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76129. Rick Cutler will officiate.
Carol went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was born June 6, 1941 in Cleburne, Texas to Frances Laura (Shipp) and Maurice Vereen. Receiving her L.B.S.W from Texas Christian University in 1999 and her L.M.S.W from UTA, Carol was a licensed clinical social worker. In 1999, she began her clinical practice at PSP Professional Services, Inc., as a therapist who provided treatment for children and adults. She retired from private practice in 2016. In addition to her private practice, Carol served at TCU as a Field Supervisor from 1999 – 2014. She was employed by Tarrant County Community Supervision and Corrections Department as a counselor from 2003 – 2012 and was an Adjunct Professor at TCU from 2007 - 2014.
Carol was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Robert Jeffrey Harry.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Renee McFadin and fiancé, Kevin Shaw, of Arlington, Texas and Stephanie Beyer and fiancé, Scott Browder, of Fort Worth; brothers, Larry M. Vereen and wife, Sandra, of Fort Worth and Jack (Lanny) Vereen of Cleburne; grandchildren, M’Kayla Harry, Bradley McFadin and Ashlee Handley; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Linda S. Moore Scholarship Fund at TCU; The Alliance for Children; or to Community Hospice of Fort Worth, Texas.
