Karen, Carolyn, and Becky, Your dad will always be in our hearts. It seems like yesterday, but actually it was the early 1970’s, that your dad came to California to visit Jim. Dave and I had just purchased our first house in Sacramento after I finished college. Your dad walked in and looked around from the entry. He had such a presence, he looked 7 feet tall. In a slow drawl he said, “I recognize this. Ginny and I call it early poverty”. 45 years later, I can still see the grin on his face. These are the wonderful memories we carry forever.
