Funeral services for Jesey Woodford “Woody” Preston, 84, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at The Heights, 1315 Grandview Hwy, 76031, with the Rev. Kasey Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew DeSousa, Brett DeSousa, Jason Doud, Justin Doud, Buddy Collins, Ryan Collins, Aaron Rodriguez and Alan Cabano.
Woody Preston passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 in Alvarado, Texas. He was born in Tomahawk, Kentucky on August 20, 1933, the son of Ersie May (Hall) and Benjamin Franklin Preston.
Woody married Hazel Jean Cooper on December 12, 1964 in Fort Worth, Texas.
He served his country in the United State Air Force and until retirement was employed with Harris Graphics where he built printing presses.
Woody is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hazel Jean Preston; and brother, Paul Preston.
He is survived by his sons, Ray Brown and wife, Diane, of Irving, Texas and Ronnie Preston and wife, Pam, of Cleburne; daughter, Rhonda DeSousa and husband, Peter, of Fort Worth, Texas; brother-in-law, L. J. Cooper and wife, Carol; grandchildren, Cindy Doud, Denise Brown, Kim Collins, A.J. Blevins, Robbie Whorton and Dylan Preston; step-grandchildren, Danny Hylton, Carrie Brock, April Mayes, Brett DeSousa and Andrew DeSousa; 13 great grandchildren; and niece, Christi Smith.
