I appreciated the opportunity to work with Johnny at Rio Vista ISD for so many reasons. He was a genuine
gentleman...loved his family, his God, his job, his town, his co-workers and the students. Johnny was a joy to work with even when things were difficult and/or stressful. He had the knack for making things as good as they couldl be. One of my favorite memories is the time we had a water break in the hallway at a drinking fountain. Johnny came immediately, called the plumbers, and grabbed a big sweep broom and a wet vac . I gathered up my skirt, tucked it in at the waist and we got busy! We swept and vacuumed water like two crazy souls filming a comedy!!. He kept us laughing as we worked. We saved the day and had some great laughter! Johnny, you represented the very best in the field of education and taking care of children. I send my love and my prayers for peace and comfort to his beautiful family.
