Obituary for Henry Peter "Pete" Ainsworth

Print
Henry “Pete” Ainsworth passed away on November 21st, 2021 at the age of 77 in Fort Worth, Texas after an admirable battle with Covid-19 complications. As a long-term devotee of working out and bodybuilding, Pete’s passing is a shock to many, but he maintained his strength and dignity with his last breath.
Those who knew Pete all attest to his moral ethics and commitment to helping others in need. As an independent business owner of his freight logistics company, Air-Land Inc., Mr. Ainsworth prided himself on providing his employees with solid employment and their families with reliable income and he was committed to excellence in his business dealings with all whom he collaborated.
Mr. Ainsworth continued to serve in the United States Army while deployed in Panama. Pete also served and protected his community as a peace officer with the Saginaw Police Department as well as the Hurst Police Department. Mr. Ainsworth took pride in his role as a veteran and law enforcement officer and continued to support his community through his generosity and activism with the Texas Rangers Association.
Above all else, Pete was a consummate provider. He consistently took care of his family, friends, employees, and fellow law enforcement officers even at his own sacrifice at times. He continuously placed the needs of others over his own, and as such, he retained a solid reputation for being a man of genuine integrity.
Pete is survived by many friends and family including his two beloved granddaughters, Frances and Joelle Watson whom he cherished deeply. His last residence on earth was tranquil as he communed with horses, goats, chickens and his precious dog Charlie on his family’s ranch in Cleburne, TX where he was able to continue to enrich his relationship with his granddaughters and his son-in-law, Jack Watson.
Pete is also survived by the mother of his children, Leah King who served as a friend in his life for decades, as well as his youngest daughter, Amy Ainsworth. It is with a heavy yet a joyful heart that Pete is now in heaven with his eldest daughter, Becky Watson who went to be with Jesus in 2018. Pete will also surely be delighted to be reunited with Charles and Veleva Farrell, to whom he credited receiving the bulk of his parental nurturing and love in his youth.
Pete’s commitment to his family, community and to Christ should be a testimony to everyone. Mr. Ainsworth’s family deeply appreciates all who recognize his devotion to others over the years by formally honoring his passing on Sunday, November 28th, 2021 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas at 1:30 p.m.
