Leroy Raymond Orvid Cheek, 83, of Cleburne, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in Cleburne. Memorial services may be held at a later date.
Mr. Cheek was born in Neri, Texas on June 20, 1938, the son of Charleton (Cotton) and Orvid Cheek.
He served his country in the United States Army and afterwards continued his service in the National Guard. Mr. Cheek was a carpenter and was of the Church of Christ faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy Newsome Cheek; brothers, Jimmy and Billy Cheek; and sister, Jean Smith.
Mr. Cheek is survived by his sons, Ray Cheek and wife, Lindsay of Cleburne, Ben Meek and wife, Diana, of Morgan, Texas, Brian Meek and wife, Kay, of Cleburne, Calvin Meek and wife, Jessica, of Gilmer, Texas; daughters, Cheryl Harris and husband, Melvin, of Cleburne, Yvonne Baldwin and husband, Randy, of Rio Vista, Texas, and Johnnie Ray Littlefield and husband, Brad, of Millsap, Texas; grandchildren, Dustin, Taylor, Lukas, Audra, Zeb, Raelyn, Peggy, Elaina, Ethan, Mary Ann, Ray, Kevin, Jonathan, Jordan, Barett, Randi, and Kay; and other family members and friends.
