Memorial services for Emmett Robert Tankersley, 78, of Alvarado, Texas will be conducted at 12 Noon, Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Lloyd Adair officiating.
Mr. Tankersley passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at his home. He was born in Palm Beach County, Florida on May 14, 1943 to Leffie Yow and Ed Carmack Tankersley.
He married Brenda Layne on July 20, 1977.
Mr. Tankersley is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Ray, Bonita, and Ginny.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Tankersley; children, Gary and Tammy Tankersley, Cindy Garner, Dennis and Sandy Porterfield, Danny and Jen Porterfield, Misty Porterfield, and Emmett and Betty Tankersley; grandchildren, Kaycee and Kory Stanley, Cheyenne, Curtis, Christian, Krissy, Makalyn, Garrett, Gage, Noah, Zack, Chloe, Meg, Brant, Madie and Zak; great grandchild, Weston Stanley; siblings, Sonny and Wanda; countless nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.
